POLICIES & ORDER INFORMATION
We invite you to contact your local sales representative or our San Francisco headquarters if you have any questions when working with the Michael Taylor Designs Collection.
Prices are net wholesale cost to the qualified trade. All items are quoted F.O.B. factory dock, freight collect. Packing, freight and insurance are not included in this price list. Prices are subject to change without notice.
Sales tax is waived for clients with resale certificate on file with Michael Taylor Designs.
A fifty percent deposit is required to enter an order into production. The balance is due in full upon completion of the order prior to shipping. All orders are non-cancellable upon receipt of deposit at Michael Taylor Designs. Deposits are non-refundable. The precise time of production and delivery is not a condition of sale.
Michael Taylor Designs accepts checks, wire transfers, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards as payment.
A Sales Order acknowledgement is sent upon receipt and acceptance of orders. Please read and review your acknowledgement very carefully.
Dimensions are given to the nearest inch. Measurements may vary from those noted due to hand craftsmanship and hand assembly. Measurements indicate the overall width, depth and height.
Michael Taylor Designs reserves the right to modify design or dimensions of all items in the line.
Michael Taylor Designs offers clients four ways to place orders:
Quick Ship Orders will ship in three weeks or less. To qualify, submit written purchase order, payment in full including freight and applicable sales tax, complete specifications and COM. See the Quick Ship products list on the last page of this price list for items that qualify.
Standard Lead-time Orders will ship according to quarterly published lead-times. Lead-time begins from the receipt of fifty percent deposit, all specifications and COM. Contact your local showroom for current lead times.
Custom Orders will ship according to dates quoted by Michael Taylor Designs. Lead-time begins from receipt of written purchase order, fifty percent deposit, all specifications and COM.
Rush Orders are offered to clients who request a specific delivery deadline. Before accepting a rush order, we will confirm a rush production plan that states the deadline for receipt of payment in full, all specifications and COM.
All orders are produced individually according to our client's specifications. Our team of skilled furniture makers and artisans produce all orders by hand. This individual hand quality is what sets our products apart from mass produced furniture.
COM & YARDAGE REQUIREMENTS
Yardage requirements are based on 54" wide plain soft goods. All cover materials are supplied by the designer (COM). We reserve the right to add an additional charge of 5% if your fabric requires special handling or when leather or vinyl are specified. When leather or vinyl are specified on loose seat cushions, covers will be sewn non-reversible and the cushion bottom will incorporate a fabric panel for breathing.

Prompt receipt and accurate side marking of fabric is essential to meet production schedule.
SHIPPING & PACKAGING
All orders are shipped prepaid freight unless otherwise specified. Residential or receiving warehouse delivery is available. Charges for pick up, crating, consolidation and delivery will be included on the final invoice or invoiced separately.
If you would like to make your own shipping arrangements specify "Will Call." We will contact you with the pick up address(es) when your order is complete and paid in full.
Unless otherwise directed, Michael Taylor Designs will blanket wrap all items. Stone items, plaster lamps, torchiere lamps, mirrors and twig sculptures shipping out of California will be crated and charged accordingly.
Ownership and title of all items purchased from Michael Taylor Designs transfers to the purchaser upon pick up of the order by the freight carrier. Upon delivery of the merchandise, the receiver must inspect the packages and crating for damages. If the shock watch label is red or any packaging looks damaged, it must be noted on the freight bill or be refused. After items have been unpacked check for damages. If any damage is found, keep all packing materials and contact the freight company to make a claim as soon as possible. Once an order has left the factory, it is the freight forwarder's responsibility to insure that products arrive safely and in a timely manner.
Any action or proceeding seeking to enforce any provision of, or based upon any right arising out of any order shall be brought against either of the parties in courts of the State of California, County of San Francisco, or, if it has or can acquire jurisdiction, in the U.S. District Court for the northern district of California. Each party consents to the jurisdiction of such courts, and of the appropriate appellate courts, in any such action or proceeding and waives any objection to jurisdiction or venue laid therein.
Michael Taylor Designs respects your privacy: we do not share your information with third parties, with these exceptions: We may share information with governmental agencies or other companies assisting us in fraud prevention. We may do so when: a) permitted and required by law; b) trying to protect against or prevent potential fraud or unauthorized transaction; c) investigating fraud which has already taken place.
